New Email System:

As we deploy our new email system, you will have to access it slightly differently.  My hope is that all mailboxes will be moved to the new server by the end of June.  Here are directions for accessing your email.

Web Email (Outlook Web App):

New URL:  https://gunnmail.gunnery.org/owa - if you try to use the old URL you will get a message with a link to this one.  Note: some browsers may require you to use the 'light' version - if this is the case, you will notice that it asks you to logon a second time and has the OWA Light checkbox selected.

Old URL (if you mailbox has not yet been moved):  https://mail.gunnery.org/owa

Mobile Devices (iPhones, iPod Touch, Droid, etc):

You will have to redo your ActiveSync connection.  All the information will be the same EXCEPT the mail server is now gunnmail.gunnery.org (it used to be ntmail.gunnery.org).  All your other info - username, password, email address and domain (which is gunnery.org) will remain the same.  On some phone you may have to delete the existing account and just recreate it.  Make sure you have synced up before you do this.

Outlook:

If you are using Outlook or RAS, you may be asked to restart outlook.

The Gunnery offers a few ways to access information remotely.  These methods are intended for the use of current Gunnery students and employees only.  Misuse of remote access connections will be treated as any other type of Gunnery violation.

Summary:  There are three ways to access the Gunnery from off campus (details are below):

Method 1: Web Email (OWA - Outlook Web Access): 

  1. To access web mail go to https://mail.gunnery.org/owa (old system) or https://gunnmail.gunnery.org/owa (new system).
  2. You will be asked about a security certificate, you may click the non-recommended option to continue on to the mail screen
  3. Enter your username and password when asked.  You may have to enter your username as username@gunnery.org or gunnery\username
     

Method 2: Terminal Services connection:

Macintosh Clients: You can download the free Microsoft RDP software by clicking here.

Windows Clients: start your terminal services client (sometimes called and RDP client or remote desktop connection).  Depending on your operating system, this may be found in Start | programs | accessories | communications or Start | programs | accessories

  1. In the dialog box, type ras.gunnery.org
  2. Enter your username and password when asked.  You may have to enter your username as username@gunnery.org or gunnery\username

Method 3: Direct Access to MOSS:

You can access MOSS directly from off campus by opening your browser and going to http://MOSS.gunnery.org.   You will be asked for you username and password many times.  Enter your username as gunnery\username.
